Step 1: Complete the homeowner registration form
Tell us who you are, where the task will happen, and what kind of help you need.
Before your task can be posted, you’ll need to register as a LocalKid homeowner or tenant. This helps us support a safer experience for teens, families, and neighbors.

Sometimes you don't need a contractor. You need a capable local teen who can help rake leaves, walk the dog, water plants, shovel a walkway, organize a garage shelf, or support a busy household for an hour or two.
LocalKid is designed to make that kind of neighborhood help easier to request, easier to manage, and safer to coordinate.
Some tasks may require parent/guardian approval, age-based eligibility, or additional review.
How it works
Tell us who you are, where the task will happen, and what kind of help you need.
As part of LocalKid’s safety-first process, homeowners must complete a background check administered by Credibled before any task request can move forward.
Once approved, your task is broadcast to eligible local teens and their parent or legal guardian. Once they express interest, you can select the worker that's right for the job.
The goal is a simple, structured experience for both the homeowner and the teen, with safety, communication, and payment handled through LocalKid.
LocalKid works with teens, which means trust cannot be an afterthought. Homeowner registration helps us confirm basic information, understand the work environment, and create a more accountable task flow.
This extra step protects the integrity of the pilot and helps families feel more confident participating.
